Best Vanilla Cake

Madison and I baked a vanilla cake with the best ever vanilla icing on top.

Vanilla Icing

2 cups sifted powdered sugar 

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 to 4 tablespoons half and half

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients.

Here she is.

 After a long wait, we finally were able to go to Georgia and pick up Pearlie. She is soooo cute and sweet.

Teacher Appreciation Cards

Last night I made cards for all of my wonderful teachers this year. On the inside I wrote, "You Make Me Smile." and a note to each teacher. I used things from the craft drawer and I think they turned out really cute!
